Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet rosé aroma with some must. Some apple and cranberry notes.
Initial Taste: No bite but slightly tingly. Quickly sweet with some acidity. Tart but mellow cranberry flavours quickly noticeable. Sweet apple flavours quite prominent. Somewhat tangy.
After Taste: Cranberry and apple flavours continue strong. Remains sweet. Slight mustiness and earthy notes. Crisp, light finish.
On ice: Thins out drink. Makes it more watery/juice-like.

Additional Notes: Spirit Tree’s Apple Cranberry Cider Spritzer is exactly as promised. Its light in feel but not in taste. With a mostly singular flavour journey, it starts similar to how to it finishes. Very full bodied, it is slightly tart from the cranberries – with the apples adding the sweetness. A tingly, light carbonation fit well into the spritzer scheme of alcoholic drinks. At 2.5%, it is unique amongst current cider offerings in Ontario and could be a more responsible choice.
