Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium sweet smell with strong fermentation aromas. Cider apples are prevalent.
Initial Taste: Medium bite with a strong presence of tannins from apples. Light and bright tasting. Slightly astringent. Fermentation flavours present amongst a strong blend of apple tastes.
After Taste: Becomes still on the palate quickly. Gets sweeter and more dry as time goes on. Strong, long-lingering apple-peel taste in the mouth. Hints of pear and honey notes.
On ice: significantly cuts the carbonation and taste out of the drink.
Additional Notes: We would call this a classic, vintage cider. Coming from a winery, the tannin presence gives this organic cider a rustic taste. Fairly smooth and easy to drink… great for a sunny day in the Niagara region (or wherever you take the bottle to)
