Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Very cucumber forward. Green apple-like notes. Hint of mint.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Quick green, tart apple notes. Bold authentic cucumber taste takes over very quickly.
After Taste: Cucumber remains the same with the mint finally emerging. Crisp, tangy spearmint lingers awhile. Becomes cooling, and is refreshing.
On ice: Some tang reduced but minimal flavour disruption.
Additional Notes: The Mint Cucumber by Slabtown is a boldly flavoured cider that has a very accurate cucumber taste that doesn’t shy away from the vegetal or earthy aspects of the produce. The mint isn’t initially noticeable but it comes out strong near the end, a spearmint-like flavour, and is rather cooling for the palate. The apple base seems to have tart green apple notes in it. Not a sweet cider but not too dry either.
