Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Semi-sweet pulpy apple. Slight tannic and acidic notes.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Apple is juicy, with a mix of pulpy and flesh notes. Semi-sweet with some bitter sharp apple elements. Crisp. Some tannins that add mouthfeel and depth.
After Taste: Becomes slightly smoother and a little more bitter sharp focused and tangy.  Slightly more acidic. Crisp finish with a clean mouthfeel.
On ice: A little less sharp and tangy.

Additional Notes:  The Semi-Sweet by Shale Ridge could easily be called a “little bit sharp”.  It has more crisp apple and tangy elements than most semi-sweet offerings but still easy to drink and very juice-forward.  Aftertaste brings in some mild drier elements and some fermentation notes. A few tannic notes help fill out the flavour profile and increase the fruitiness. An incredibly crisp and refreshing cider.
