Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Musty and a bit funky with heritage-like/rustic apples.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Decently juicy apples that are slightly dry, tart and peel focused.  Slightly tannic, gritty and sharp. Not bright with only hints of acidity.  Hint of fermentation.
After Taste: Bolder elements clear out, with apples becoming smoother, more flesh-focused.  A little fermentation residue lingers.
On ice: Reduced overall flavour and intensity but still strong.

Additional Notes:  The Pippins by Sea Cider has a unique blend of west-coast apples, that have a lot of characteristics they bring to the mixture. Decently dry, it features a bit of natural sweetness and some fermentation notes. Has newton pippin, winter banana and sunset varieties – apples not as common as others for cidermaking. Sharper, more tannic upfront.
