Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Extra sweet dessert apples with hints of banana.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Sweet dessert apple present with elements of banana and yeast. Quite creamy.
After Taste: Yeast flavours remain, as apple slightly dissipates, leaving a very banana finish. Semi-quick finish, with some creaminess/characteristics that many Trappist beer has.
On ice: Strips all elements down.
Additional Notes: An extra clean cider, the Rootstock Belgian has many elements of fresh fruit (apple, and banana from the yeast), that make this full flavoured. You would be hard pressed to find the alcoholic taste, although it is 6.1%. The take on Belgian beers is present, well balanced with full-bodied apples that make this a great pub-style drink.
