Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Juicy and funky pears with a woody smell – including some barrel elements
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation and acidity. Strong pear skins with funky and acetic elements to it.  Acidity dissipates quite quickly. Strong spirit elements in it. Dank wet wood.
After Taste: After taste loses almost all of the fermentation element and returns to a somewhat cleaner, more noticeable juicy pear. 
On ice: Reduced punch and flavour, but still remains pretty strong.

Additional Notes:  Revel’s Perry De Coupage is a pear driven offering with a lot going on.  Smell, initial taste and aftertaste all have their own unique elements, with pear skins being the combining feature. Woody to smell, acetic and funky upfront with strong spirit/barrel elements, and almost a juicy pear finish with some barreling elements at the end. Both young and old pears appear at different times.
