Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong musty apple with hints of juniper and gin. Floral.
Initial Taste: Medium bite but it goes smooth quickly. Semi-tart apples with a noticeable tannin presence. Some bitter notes.
After Taste: Mustiness remains. Gin, juniper and floral notes come through. Funky. Semi-dry finish.
On ice: Carbonation is dramatically cut. Flavour is reduced. More astringent and crisp.

Additional Notes: Spirit of the Woods is a strong, unique cider that boldly features the flavours from the gin barrels it was aged in. While this cider doesn’t have a long lingering flavour, it does have a quick, intense burst of flavour that is quite enjoyable. The gin botanicals infusion is noticeable and unique. If you enjoy the depth of the barreling and aging processes in sophisticated drinks, you will really enjoy this.
