Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Dank but yet fresh smelling hops.  Earthy with minimal apples.
Initial Taste: Strong bite from carbonation and effervescence. Thick, dank hops that press heavy on the senses, including some bitterness. A semi-sharp and acidic apple base. Green, chlorophyll notes from hops.
After Taste: Becomes a little cleaner and more cider-like in the aftertaste that lingers a long time. Hops also stay awhile but become softer, with some staying resin.
On ice: Smoother and easier to consume.  A lot of earthy elements are cut.

Additional Notes:  The Niagara College Teaching Winery 2024 cider lineup series called Taylor Road Cider, offers us this Wet & Hopped dry-hopped cider.  Different from many other hopped ciders, it tastes earthy and “green”, like the green hops were very freshly added to the mixture, freshly picked off the bines. The apple base is semi-sharp and acidic, which becomes more noticeable in the aftertaste that lasts a long time.  Both the hops and effervescent carbonation enter the nose well before you sip this one. If it’s too strong or bold for you, ice makes it smoother/cleaner.
