Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong artificial blueberry aroma with mild sweet apple. Reminds us of a wine cooler.
Initial Taste: Very minimal bite. Sweet, fresh blueberry with hints of apple and, in general, mixed-fruits. Some hints of tangy lime.
After Taste: Blueberry becomes dominate in flavour. Semi-long lingering with a more artificial blueberry-tasting finish.
On ice: Carbonation and apple flavour reduced.
Additional Notes: First sampled in Iceland, Mokai is a sweet frozen-esque blueberry cider with a fresh blueberry start, but a more artificial finish. This more commercial cider reminds us of a wine cooler, but is still very crisp and with an obvious cider base.
