Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Semi-sweet fleshy and juicy red apples.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation.Semi-dry, fleshy red apple characteristics with some peel elements. Becomes more peel and tannic drive after the first sip. Some earthy and boozy elements. Hints of flora.
After Taste: Becomes slightly drier and less apple focused with some fermentation elements. A lot more peel in a standard-length of a sip.
On ice: Reduced apple flavour.
Additional Notes: Loch Mór Cider’s Blush is a high alcohol adventure from the Danforth Road Series of traditional offerings. The rosé aspects in this comes from the apple peel colour and varieties used. It’s dry, crisp and very peel forward. Lots of tannic elements and body, though still somewhat light for 7.5%. A great example of a red-fleshed, traditional method cider offering that’s very clean. Presents more dry because of the tannic elements, with a touch of natural sweetness to it.
