Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium smell. Freshly pressed apple aroma. Hints of warming spices. Extra sweet-smelling.
Initial Taste: Smooth. Quick sweetness. Fleshy, multi-variety apple flavours.
After Taste: Apple flavours remain – as well as sweetness. Some spice notes like cardamom and cinnamon come through. Crisp and tangy finish. Toasted caramel notes as well.
On ice: Cider becomes more thinned on ice. Sweetness is amplified.
Additional Notes: This Farmhouse Cider is very different. It reminds us more of a grocery store fresh pressed non-alcoholic cider than a traditional hard cider. A very sweet offering, it is unique from other offerings in the Ontario market. We appreciate the cross-boarder collaboration on this, using a unique apple, the Saskatoon. It does not taste alcoholic at all, featuring more farm-fresh flavours and naturalness from the apples.
