Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Heavy aroma. Raw maple syrup. Pulpy apples that are caramelized. Some spices.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite with only a hint of carbonation, Sweet, pulpy apple with a hefty maple syrup and spice. Warming cinnamon. Fresh and baked apple notes.
After Taste: Fresh apple reduces leaving a clean caramelized apple in the aftertaste. Almost has an apple pie finish. Dark trub at the bottom of the bottle.
On ice: Minimal difference, a little thinner.
Additional Notes: The Cuvée Winterruption is a thick, spiced cider that’s almost still. Although at 6.9%, it’s light and has still some boozyness to it. Pulpy apples that are fresh, lots of pie characteristics in this one. Maple syrup drives up the sweetness and adds a lot of flavour + body. If you’re looking for something a little different, you can tell by the smell and the colour this one is not your typical cider. A rich winter warmer – appropriately named.
