Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Light aroma. Funky, pulpy apple with some oak. Some sherry astringency.
Initial Taste: Light sensation from acidity. Quickly dry with enhanced sherry and oak tastes. Some tart apples. Funk.
After Taste: Tart and funky apple notes grow. Astringency pierces through. Dry finish with natural, slightly sweeter apple notes.
On ice: Less pungent, less dry.

Additional Notes: Jaanihanso’s Sherry Cask-Aged Dry Cider is a smooth yet funky cider – that is easier to consume than a lot of other spirit-based barrel-aged ciders (and a lower ABV at 5.5% than on average). With some wood notes, the smooth sherry starts off with the flavour first, with the astringency second. The apple notes are tart and mixed in taste. Unfiltered with some trub (particles).
