Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Sweet bright lemon. Hint of apple.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Smooth lemonade that’s bright with a tartness to it, natural. Slightly syrupy grenadine notes appear along with a smooth, creamy apple base.
After Taste: Longer lasting aftertaste where the apple runs as the primary focus. Some lingering lemon zest notes. Crisp and juicy.
On ice: Thinner, similar profile to no ice
Additional Notes: Ironwood’s homage to Barbie, BRBY is a light, pink (from grenadine) lemonade cider that has a smooth, clean dessert apple base. Grenadine is smooth, a tiny bit tart, but present. Upbeat, the lemon is bright and tart, with a little bit of a candied taste. Apples are blanched with the lemon upfront but come back in the aftertaste even more crisp and clean.
