Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright and semi-sharp apples. Crisp apple smell.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Crisp, clean, semi-bright and sharp apples upfront. Lots of juice though obviously fermented. Dry with some grit, somewhat acidic with a bit of tannic.
After Taste: Long lingering aftertaste which becomes a bit more acidic and fermentation focused. Grit from dryness comes out in the aftertaste.
On ice: Reduces overall flavour and intensity.
Additional Notes: Heeman’s Dabinett is part of their single varietal series. Juicy yet dry, this semi-bright and sharp apple cider has a long lingering aftertaste that has some fermentation elements creeping in. Acidic but not overpowering (Clean so it does not appear to have any funk), it’s a showcase of the apple. Lots of peel notes with a bit of tannin and saline as well.
