Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Sweet, creamy peach with mild mustiness. Candied.
Initial Taste: Quick bite of spice and acidity. Woody and pepper notes. Some tangy apples.
After Taste: Apple flavour continues mildly with the spice dissipating. Peaches come through very creamy. Ends dry, earthy, damp wood-like. Some vanilla notes.
On ice: Flavour and elements drastically reduced. Basically no spice.
Additional Notes: The Ciderhouse Sunset from Heartwood smells very creamy, like a fresh peach custard. When you take that first sip, it’s a bit of a shock, as it tastes almost like an infused pepper in spice and taste, but we aren’t sure there actually is. Starting off with more harsh elements, it ends completely different, with a creamy vanilla and peach flavour. Has that earthy, woody touch Heartwood is known for. With the spice flavour and sensation, it reminds us of another of their ciders, Eve Goes Badass.
