Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Strawberry, some lemon. Slightly earthy apples.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Light strawberry lemonade elements with a mild dessert apple. Very thin, very seltzer-like.
After Taste: Dissipates quickly, finishing with a dank and hay finish, with a hint of lemon residue.
On ice: Flavour even further reduced and thinner.
Additional Notes: The White Strawberry Lemonade Spritz by Growers Cider is a very light offering. Much more a seltzer than cider, there is a mild apple backing. Like many seltzers, it’s more tonic water elements than flavour. Easy to drink which cleans out quickly but leaves a bit of a resin in the aftertaste (cider enthusiasts might identify this as mousey). We wouldn’t necessarily call this one a cider, but a seltzer with a touch of apple.
