Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy, grassy and some funky apple notes. Bright citra hops.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Smooth, semi-creamy apple with a hint of funk. Sweet but not sugary. Slight bitterness to start.
After Taste: Becomes more citra-hops focused in the aftertaste. Smoother yet more acidic in the aftertaste. Some grassy and orange notes at the finish.
On ice: Cleaner (less hazy and straw/earthy notes)
Additional Notes: Fielding’s Hopped & Hazy is an unfiltered citra hopped cider that starts out semi-smooth and apple forward – and is quickly overtaken by the hops in the aftertaste. A lot of flavour notes going on here; some acidic, straw, citrus and grassy elements. It is cleaner on-ice, with less yeast elements to it. One of the more hopped ciders we’ve had, but still not crunchy like some IPA.
