Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Maraschino cherry with tart apple. Mild astringency.
Initial Taste: Mild bite. Crisp apple notes forward. Slightly tart, mildly acidic. Mild cherry hints.
After Taste: Apple flavour remains but cherry flavour grows. Cherry notes are tangy and candied. Generic floral hints. Off-dry finish that is smooth. Some tonic elements.
On ice: Reduced carbonation. More crisp but less flavour and body overall.
Additional Notes: The Cherry Rosé Cider by Fielding does distinguish itself from other rosé ciders on the market with its candied, slightly tart maraschino cherry flavour. It’s very apple in the front, with tart apple flavours dominating at the beginning. You don’t get the cherry and mild floral notes until near the finish. Very sessionable, both in terms of alcohol content (4.5%) and ease of consumption.
