Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium smell. Tart, fresh blueberry with earthy notes
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Quick acidity from fruit and fermentation. Strong wild blueberry flavour. Somewhat tart. Some cranberry and raspberry notes.
After Taste: Blueberry remains and lingers, becoming sweeter. Apple flavours are more detectable here. Notes of honey come through. Semi-dry finish. Remains on the palate for a while.
On ice: Carbonation dramatically cut. Flavour slightly reduces but remains the same.
Additional Notes: Ernest’s Wild Blueberry is a unique fruit-flavoured cider, truly capturing the flavours and essence of the wild fruit it comes from. Crisp and clean, it still has some sophisticated dry elements from the 3-month fermentation process touted on the can. This one does not taste too alcoholic, so be careful as it is very easy to drink.
