Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Fresh, pulpy, crisp and clean apples
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation, Strong crisp and bright clean apples that are semi-sweet. Sharp acidity to start but still pulpy.
After Taste: Apple and crispness drop, becomes more tannic and bright in nature. Long lingering with a slight apple film. Mild wild/earthy aspect found in the aftertaste.
On ice: Not as soft, but retains most elements. (Less pulpy, slightly less apple)
Additional Notes: The Nomad by Double Hill Cidery in PEI is a wild apple offering that is extra juicy, punchy and bright. Has some sweet but also balanced tannic notes. Full bodied, it reduces in apple for the long-lingering aftertaste which has a bit of the wild elements to it. A lot going on in a good way.
