Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Tart berries, hint of plum. Some sour apples. Mild vinegar.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation and acidity. Quickly sweet with a mild tart apple.
After Taste: Berries really come out here, with notes of raspberry and strawberry. Ends on a semi-dry plum-like flavour. Some film/residue lingers in the mouth.
On ice: Reduces the carbonation and the flavour. Makes it have a thinner body.
Additional Notes: Not a commonly used fruit for ciders, the Haskap Cider from Busl is a light, but decently fruit forward cider that seems close to true to the fruit in flavour. Tart and sweet, this cider has notes of blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, along with some plum-like notes to finish. Has a long-lingering flavour and leaves some film residue in the mouth from the sucrose.
