Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium, candied, mixed berry aroma – with raspberries most prevalent. Standard Brickworks apple aroma that includes some mustiness
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation. Tangy, dry apple appears first. Mild mixed berries of blueberries and raspberries appear. Some honey and musty notes.
After Taste: Apple continues but berries become more noticeable – with strawberries appearing slightly. Mild taste that does not linger too long. Semi-dry finish.
On ice: Carbonation is cut a lot so it allows for a stronger berry experience
Additional Notes: Brickworks Field & Berry is a mild flavoured cider, that we find draws inspiration in taste from both Brickwork’s other offerings of Batch 1904 and Queen Street 501. A cider we prefer on ice to cut the carbonation, as we found the carbonation masks the nice berry flavours a bit on its own. A very apple-forward cider, it ends on a tart medley of berries, with that standard Brickworks apple flavour throughout. We found it to have raspberry and blueberry flavours than the strawberry also listed as being in there.
