Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Mostly tart cranberry, some sour apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation – but quickly acidic and tart. Tiny hit of apple followed by an overpowering, tart, fresh and intense cranberry. Very dry and punchy.
After Taste: Becomes smoother, drier and more cranberry juice like. Long lingering aftertaste, with a fruit grittiness lingering.
On ice: Reduced mouthfeell and sourness. Same fruit flavours.
Additional Notes: Archibald’s Hard Cranberry has only the smallest of apple notes before it becomes a very tart, fresh and powerful cranberry drink. It’s dry with a long-lingering aftertaste. Only one real element to this: cranberries. Authentic and strong cranberry flavour – could not see how this could be any more cranberry forward than it is… if too intense, ice helps reduce some strength of elements. Puckering tartness might take your head back a bit but still manageable for most.
