Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma, Juicy, bright crisp apples with some tangy elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation and some acidic elements. Bright, smooth dessert apples with a slightly tart edge to it. Some tannins.
After Taste: The medium sweetness starts to dissipate and leaves it drier. Has some caramelized finishing notes. Long lasting. Tingly.
On ice: Less sweet and thinner.
Additional Notes: The Session Cider by Ironwood Cider House is a bright, easy to drink, back-sweetened (apple juice added) cider that is very crisp and apple forward. It turns even more dry into the aftertaste but remains very bright and even a bit caramelized. It’s long-lingering with a bit of acidic elements that enhance the brightness. Easy to drink at 4.5% it’s more bright then others we’ve had with a lower ABV. Could be mistaken for a tangy, non-alcoholic apple juice.
