Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet, pulpy thick apples with equally strong juicy strawberry
Initial Taste: No bite. Smooth, semi sweet apple that is thick. Strawberries are equal in presence but also semi-creamy. No sour or tangy elements.
After Taste: Little change between initial and aftertaste. Lingers around a bit but remains quite clean and forward.
On ice: Thinner but not much else.
Additional Notes: The Strawberry Infused Ice Cyder by Duntroon Cyder House is a lighter, more sessionable offering for an iced cider, in particular the body and mouthfeel. The strawberry is decently creamy (like strawberries and cream), which matches and is equal in strength to the apple base that is also sweet and juicy. ery little harsh elements, including fermentation notes as well as no tartness or sourness. 11.5% is slightly lighter than most ice ciders, which gives it its floral and airy characteristic. The first fruit infused ice cider we have had, as they are not common.
