Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Funky, Acetic and earthy. Vegetal.
Initial Taste: Strong bite from carbonation and acidity. Funky apple skins with dank floral dandelion elements.  Dry and earthy. Puckering sour notes.
After Taste: Becomes much smoother once acidity and carbon are reduced.  Slight film that coats the mouth. Very dry with earthy, acetic elements. Hint of honey at the finish.
On ice: Dramatically removed elements overall

Additional Notes:  The Pissenlit Dandelion Sour by Ironwood is a full bodied, extra funky and acetic (punchy vinegar elements) cider that has an earthy and dank vibe.  Not sweet and cleans out somewhat quickly leaving a dry but earthy finish.  Driven by the funky farmhouse flavours, it is with a touch of floral and honey. Is a decently puckering sour cider so it may surprise some not familiar with sour beers or ciders. Very element driven (funk, sourness, etc) instead of fruit/adjuncts flavours. Pours very cloudy near the finish, worth a good swirl before opening to better blend the trub.
