Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Semi floral and sweet apple.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Dry rosé wine-like elements with some mild but tannic apples. Slightly sour and astringent. Mild generic floral notes. Hints of strawberry.
After Taste: Dissipates very quickly, leaving very little in the mouth. Some dry and grittiness from the tannic elements leftover. Dark berry notes emerge to linger awhile (after floral and rose notes dissipate)
On ice: reduced flavour even further
Additional Notes: The Rosé Cider by The Old Tun is a very dry, rosé wine-like offering, almost straight from the vineyard. It’s not very apple forward, but has a high tannic count to it. Light, refreshing and decently clean, it has a short aftertaste and gorgeous colour. Some berry undertones with hints of floral and rose notes throughout.
