Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright acidic apples with fresh, juicy notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite with minimal carbonation. Starts slightly tangy and bright. Flesh and apple peel notes, with some tannic elements. Acidity from apples. Mild bitter undertones with some alcoholic notes here.
After Taste: Aftertaste kicks in slightly more dry, but very apple forward. Some slight green apple notes in the end with light sourness. Very clean, crisp and refreshing overall.
On ice: Slightly reduced dryness and overall flavour
Additional Notes: Ship Builders’ Army Cider is a clean, juicy and full-bodied offering from the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia. There are a lot of apple elements in it. It has a strong flavour and a long aftertaste – that has some sour, tart but bright apples along the way, that are very crisp throughout. Off-dry but leans more dry than sweet. Named in honour of the brave Canadians who have served in the Army.
