Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Acidic and floral peel notes with some sourness.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation. Semi-tannic and acidic apples with some floral elements. Gritty.
After Taste: As the apple dissipates you are left with a bunch of fermentation notes. Slightly long lingering acidic notes remain with more hibiscus elements coming through. Rose-wine like to finish.
On ice: Slightly reduced flavour and acidity.
Additional Notes: Cowbell Brewing’s Rosé is a semi-tannic, dry cider that has hibiscus and earthy notes. It is gritty with a lot of peel elements, not overly “apple”, and somewhat fermentation process focused in flavour notes. Decently acidic, it’s not sweet like some other Ontario Rosé ciders, at only 2g/L.
