Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong, funky and wild bright apple. Slightly pulpy.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation, starts with smooth, bright and semi-sweet apples but those flavours dissipate quickly. Has a caramelized and bruised apple flavour.
After Taste: Then turns tangy, slightly funky and a bit acidic and dryness changes – becomes dominant in the long-lasting aftertaste. Herby notes.
On ice: Reduced tangy and funkiness.
Additional Notes: Kings Mill Feral Ice is a Pommeau, a mix of iced cider and apple juice that has a very large flavour profile. The offering starts slightly sweet, bright and smooth, but then becomes heavily caramelized, turning tangy, a bit more funky and slightly more dry as the aftertaste continues. This cider has a lot going on, but is still very consumable, even at 12% (tastes decently alcoholic too but not sharp or astringent).
