Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Dank, semi-sweet apples.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Smooth, semi-creamy apples with some bright and juicy elements. Acidity is its main feature. Tart but not puckering or sour. Semi-thick with hints of stone fruit.
After Taste: Acidity dissipates becoming drier – including the apple flavours – with a slight film. Long lingering with a full body.
On ice: Thinner and less apple/stone fruit elements.
Additional Notes: Cox Creek Cellar Estate Winery offers their Dry Cider, which is more of a traditional cider and not overly winery-inspired in taste. Full-flavoured, its punchy, semi-dry and juicy – also has unique hints of a stone fruit pit like a nectarine. Clean but with a little film in the long lingering aftertaste. A hearty pub-drinking experience.
