Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Acetic and dry, but semi-sweet pear. Slightly earthy
Initial Taste: Light bite. Smooth but dry pear. Then it moves into a quick build of sour and bright pears that are very acetic. Strong pear dominate.
After Taste: Finishes slightly dry, with a sweeter pear that it starts and has a lot of peel notes. Somewhat long lingering, but is cleaner than it starts.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and flavour.
Additional Notes: The Two Parish Pear by Duntroon Cyder House is a uniquely bright and punchy pear that is very sour and acetic. More elements than many perrys we’ve had and it has a dry peel finish. A lot of intensity in the first few sips but it mellows as you consume the bottle. Becomes slightly sweater the more you drink. A lot of nose as well in this very element driven cider.
