Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy apples. Slightly sulphuric elements. Some rose notes.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity and some carbonation. Strong, puckering sour tannic apples that have dry and peel elements. Some lemon elements.
After Taste: Once carbonation reduces, becomes more gritty and drier. Has lots of red apple peel notes. Slightly woody in the aftertaste.
On ice: Thinner, less carbonation.
Additional Notes: The Shaker Hill Blush by Duntroon Cyder House is a smooth but sour experience. Dry with a lot of tannic notes, its sour, earthy and very red apple peel focused. A lot of red apple and lemon elements make this puckering but not overwhelming. Mild rosé notes that have a strawberry lemonade vibe. Quite a similar sustained sour throughout the flavour journey.
