Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Bright cherry and strong funky pear notes. 
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity. Semi-sweet pear, following with a bright and strong sour cherry. Funky and earthy dank pear.  Before the aftertaste, its sour intensity peaks leaving you rather puckering.
After Taste: Once the peak finishes, it dissipates quite quickly, leaving the mouth with some lingering elements of funk and cellaring.
On ice: Much more watered down in flavour and mouthfeel.

Additional Notes:  Revel’s perry cherry Whimsy is a rather acidic offering, with bright and tart cherry and funky pear notes. It is puckering and intense but cleans out quickly.  Dry and earthy, it’s very full-bodied. Contrasting bright fruit flavours and dank, sour funky elements play a dance with one another on the palate. More cherry than pear focused, and much more sour than their cherry Sonata cider.
