Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Strong seltzer notes and effervesce. Some watermelon, slight lavender
Initial Taste: Light bite. Strong seltzer/soda water elements. Medium candied watermelon. No apple, but a mild hint of lavender.
After Taste: Cleans out quickly with very little aftertaste but that of being a flavoured water. Slight film
On ice: Flavour and carbonation reduced to minimal profile.
Additional Notes: The Field Watermelon and Lavender Cider Spritz by Growers is their take on a lightly flavoured cider/sparkling water blend. We couldn’t detect any apple in this, but it did have a respectable watermelon flavour that was candied. Overall, it’s much closer to spritzer than a cider. Mild lavender adds an intriguing element. Cleans out pretty quickly.
