Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Extra sweet candied blueberries. Some red wine elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite – somewhat like a wine. Thick and heavy blueberry.  Some dessert apples that are light.  Red wine astringent elements are there but not as dry.
After Taste: Red wine lingers and is very noticeable on the breath. Blueberry becomes more gritty in the finish.  No apple residue.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and thinner mouthfeel.

Additional Notes:  The Wild Thing by Chill Street is a wine/cider blend with lots of blueberry elements that are sweet and thick (but not candied tasting like it smells). Its blueberry forward with light apple flavour and elements pulled from the red wine, but without the harshness and astringency of a straight red wine.  If you find red wine too harsh, this might be a great option for you as it has the base profile of a cider.
