Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Bittersweet apples. Hint of crab and tannic elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation, followed by strong, acidic, tannic and sour apples. Some earthy elements, pretty dry but still has a natural sweeter, slightly thicker-than-average cider base.
After Taste: Clears out quite quickly. Leaving just a dry mouth feel. Not much residual apple.
On ice: Less apple forward, slightly less sweet.

Additional Notes:  The Bittersweet Symphony by Duntroon Cyder House is a unique, Ontario fusion take on combining elements from French and tannic, dry English cider styles. It’s got a strong acidic and tannic start, that quickly transitions to some earthy but sweet elements.  Somewhat thick, with a very short aftertaste leaving only a dry finish.  A lot going on in a short while, and defies what a typical dry cider is with the sweet elements still present.
