Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bitter sharp apples with some tanginess and pulpy elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite, minimal carbonation. Bitter sharp apples some with some acidic notes.
After Taste: Becomes more acidic but smooth and easy to consume. Has some sulphur and fermentation elements.
On ice: Slight reduction in apple flavour.
Additional Notes: The Five Acre by MackIntosh Ciderhouse (Flying Canoe) is a traditional cider made simply with apples and hard work. Lightly carbonated with bitter sharp apples, is very clean and apple juice focused. Doesn’t taste alcoholic at all so be cautious while drinking this! Research the history of the name and the 5 acre rule in Ontario that has at least for now been suspended.
