Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet, juicy and acidic pear – with some apple. Honey notes and candied.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from acidity. Juicy and sweet pear flavour quickly noticeable with some mild sour hints. Crisp taste and mouth feel with slight earthiness. A bit of tartness to the palate.
After Taste: Pear flavour continues the same. Some honey and agave flavour notes. Tonic flavour hints with a semi-dry finish. Mild minerality.
On ice: Carbonation slightly cut. Becomes drier but a touch less rich in flavour.
Additional Notes: This pear flavoured cider from 401 Brewery has a more prominent pear taste than some of its competitors. A crisp drink in taste and mouth feel, it is quite refreshing to consume. Quite juicy and maybe even a tad rustic.
