Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Crisp, fresh and candied apple notes, including green apple. Smells almost hopped.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity, mild bite from carbonation. Quickly fresh, fleshy dessert apple. Mild maple syrup hints that are semi-earthy. Somewhat tangy.
After Taste: Apple flavour continues the same, is rather crisp. Ends semi-dry, with brown sugar notes.
On ice: Thinner mouthfeel. More alcohol and earthy notes emerge.
Additional Notes: A very country, rural inspired cider, this medium-dry maple syrup-infused cider from Domaine Cléroux is very juicy and apple forward, with a rustic edge to it. Rather clean and crisp, it refreshes and satisfies. Has a unique brown sugar finish, despite it not listing it as an ingredient.
