Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma of golden-rum with some pulpy apple notes.
Initial Taste: Strong bite from astringency and some carbonation. Pungent and bold rum (just like having a shot of rum in it) that has some apple notes. Some wood-like notes.
After Taste: Rum flavour slowly dissipates but remains present in the back of the mouth. Pulpy apple becomes more noticeable.
On ice: Drastically reduces flavour and rum-punch.
Additional Notes: Alongside its whisky counterpart, the Bootleg Series by Loch Mór offers a much stronger rum-based offering. It’s bold, pungent and pops, with a lot of astringency just like a shot. Slightly woody from the barrel-aging, the rum drives the drink from start to finish with some pulpy apple notes along the way. Smoother on ice if it too much for you.
