Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet and crisp pulpy apple.
Initial Taste: Mild bite from carbonation. Smooth and crisp sweet honeycrisp apple with some slight tart notes
After Taste: Apple flavours remain the same, very little change but becomes slightly drier and tarter, more apple focused. Lingers a long time.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and slightly less apple focused.
Additional Notes: Thornbury’s Honeycrisp Apple Cider, this single varietal cider tastes like a simple, sweet and standard apple juice, with just a bit of alcoholic notes so you know it’s a hard cider. One of the most “crisp” ciders we have had (the sharp apple flavour, slightly acidic but a refreshing, clean finish). A hard apple to work with as it traditionally does not fit cider well, Thornbury has been successful in capturing the varietal elements well.
