Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright and effervescent apples, that has a hint of earthiness. Juicy.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Some acidity that shows up right after carbonation reduces. Juicy and sweet apples that are smooth. Green and yellow variety notes. Hints of sourness.
After Taste: Becomes more apple forward and slightly more sour. Peel and flesh here, with green variety notes amplifying here. Lighter flavour and mouthfeel as it finishes, that’s naturally sweet and bright. Slight sugar residue remains.
On ice: Less carbonation, overall intensity reduced. Less sour.
Additional Notes: Archibald’s Hard Cider is a sweeter offering, but incredibly light and breezy. It is very unique, with a sweet, green/yellow-apple like flavour notes that are creamy. Features apple variety notes not too common to your average cider, even though it is made with McIntosh and Ida Red apples. Easy to drink, smooth and a lot of flavour. A natural sweetness defines this, with its medley of apple characteristics that appear throughout. Crisp with a tingly acidity.
