Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong, acidic slightly earthy aroma with mature apples. Some must.
Initial Taste: Light bite from acidity. Quickly astringent, tangy and dank. Some sulfur notes among the pungent apple flavours.
After Taste: A lot of fermentation notes and residual funk. Finishes dry and very long lasting.
On ice: Reduced bitter notes and some acidity, less carbonation. Apple characteristics are more present.
Additional Notes: A wild yeast cider, the Untamed by Loch Mór is a long lasting dry, earthy and mature cider. It has some acidity, a unique apple palate and finishes with a hint of tanginess. Some elements of a white, dry wine or a dank old-world style beer. Not an approachable or sessionable cider, would pair well with food in place of a wine.
