Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Sweet fleshy/pulpy apples.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation and some acidity. A mix of pulpy, fleshy and sweet apple tastes. Semi-tangy clean apple.
After Taste: Peel becomes more prevalent, some notes of straw and apricot. Some tanginess. Becomes more fruit-forward in the aftertaste. Lingers semi-long.
On ice: Carbonation is cut dramatically. Cleaner taste and feel on ice – including becoming thinner in consistency.
Additional Notes: Tasting like a freshly pressed blend of sweet dessert apple juices, Chudleigh’s Orchard Cider is a very crisp, apple forward experience that would be great for new hard cider drinkers. This cider has a lot of mouth feel, though was heavy is not much lighter. It tastes like a non-alcoholic cider you’d get at a farmers market – especially in the Fall. This was a former collaboration between Chudleigh’s Apple Farm and Waterloo Brewing Company.
