Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma of fresh currant juice. Some mustiness and earthiness
Initial Taste: Mild sensation from acidity. Quickly tangy. Strong currant flavour that is juicy in nature.
After Taste: Currant flavour remains strong but becomes more dry. Sour apples make a short appearance. Finishes dry but with some juicy elements remaining.
On ice: Flavour remains the same but on ice it is less dry (less wine like) and tangy – with it becoming even more juicy in feel and taste.

Additional Notes: Archibald’s Hard Currant Cider is a boldly flavoured drink, starting more as an acidic and tangy juice; while finishing more like a dry wine. A very fruit-forward cider, it delivers on a strong and pure currant flavour – with mild apple flavours appearing. The currants make the drink a unique tart-dry finish. You can tell it’s from a fruit winery as opposed to a more traditional white grape winery as it is very fruity in composure.
