Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong lavender aroma with hints of sweet pear. Slightly earthy and floral.
Initial Taste: Mild bite but very smooth. Quick, strong lavender taste with sweet pear secondary. Slightly metallic and earthy.
After Taste: Lavender remains but becomes more floral in nature – as well as earthy and bitter. Pear dissipates but sweetness stays, becomes almost sugary. Dry finish.
On ice: Remains smooth. Lavender is reduced. Pear is slightly reduced.
Additional Notes: Spirit Tree’s Pear with Lavender Cider is a very unique offering as we cannot recall this flavour combination being used often in ciders prior. With a strong lavender presence, it has a very prominent floral, earthy taste with a contrasting sweet pear background flavour. Might be a nice dessert cider, however, we feel that you cannot drink a lot of this at once as it is very rich.
