Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium rose smell. Has red delicious apple and tart cherry aromas.
Initial Taste: Mild bite. Quick sweet and tart desert apple and cherry flavour that builds and becomes more sour and rich.
After Taste: Cherry flavour remains and lingers. Becomes tart and dry. Slightly syrupy.
On ice: Dramatically cuts carbonation. Is more tart than sour on ice. Cherry flavour remains the same on ice just, slightly weakened – including sweetness.
Additional Notes: Hinterland’s Cherry Cider is a very rich offering, showcasing both the sweetness and sourness of cherries very well. It has a depth of flavour that is full-bodied and intriguing. With some sensation and presence from the carbonation, making a flavoured cider sparkling like this is unique and different for typical sparkling ciders available.
